AKTARUM, the folk “troll” metal sensation from Belgium signs a worldwide booking deal with aktarumlogowebRockshots Music Management

Formed in 2005 by TrollAklass (Guitar) and Trollour (Keyboard/Singer), the band naturally stands out thanks to its unique, strong and funny gigs across Belgium. They play an efficient, folk “troll” metal, with hints of Black Metal.

Following the release of their first demo (2007) and the EP “We are the Trolls” (2008), in 2010, Aktarum released their first album called “Gang of Trolls“. It has been recorded at the BlackOut Studio in Brussels and mixed/masterized by Jeremy Bézier (Enthroned). The band is now back to work on a brand new EP.

Throughout it’s existence, Aktarum had the opportunity of playing with bands such as Ensiferum, Skyforger, Manegarm, Primordial, Equilibrium, Eluveitie, Heidevolk, Arkona, Moonsorrow, Turias and Korpiklaani.

The Experiment No. Q (featuring THERION band members)

THE EXPERIMENT NO. Q  is a musical project written and directed by the musician/comedian/scenograph: Paolo Vallerga (No.Q).

The Experiment draws together musicians from all over the world, combining a diverse range of styles, musical backgrounds and personalities to create a meeting of creative worlds… the one common point: No.Q.

A Rock album that combines the power of metal with the beauty of poetic atmosphere, the Experiment No. Q fuses together theenergies of each musician involved to create a unique and theatrical new world. A realm where musicians are the characters and music tells the story as we weave our way through a metal-infused dimension of leather, poetry and sensuality… amidst a cloud of steam-punk dust!

The musicians involved are: Kevin Zwierzchaczewski (Lord Byron); Nalle Påhlsson, Johan Koleberg and Linnéa Vikström (Therion); Teddy Möller and Jimmy Mattsson (LochVostok), Andrea Palazzo (Osanna, Frank Mc Comb), Emanuel Victor (Wanderer’s Nights, DobleD), Sabrina Rivagli (SB II, session bassist), Marco Rivagli (Divina), Mattia Garimanno (Il Castello di Atlante), Marco Signore (Heavenshine) just to name a few.

“All the musicians are friends of mine, fantastic guys and gorgeous musicians who are happy to play in my project as you can hear in every note of each song. For this reason, to record the album, we wanted them at the same time, in the same place… We needed to share time together to feel the music better.” says Paolo.

“This is an emotional experience, song by song we hope to surprise the fans. I’m a writer and my songs are inspired by both my poetic nature and my metal soul. It is by mixing these two elements that is born… The experiment No.Q”.

The project, with the great illustrations of Giacomo Rinaldi, will be released at the beginning of 2014.

Over the years SOUND STORM  have developed a very personal blend of Heavy Metal mixed with a theatrical sense of drama, which was internationally recognised with the release of their critically acclaimed debut ‘Twilight Opera‘. ‘Immortalia’ marks another important milestone for the band, mixing their wide range of influences in a piece of work perfectly balanced between powerful guitars, magnificent symphonic choirs, gothic atmospheres and baroque melodies, which is definitely worth listening to. Recorded, mixed and mastered at Metal House Studio by Ettore Rigotti (Disarmonia Mundi), ‘Immortalia’ is a stunning concept album on the quest for eternal life, an amazing journey through literature, poetry and history, a collection of songs linked together by the common theme of the immortality of the soul. The evocative artwork was handled by Felipe Machado Franco (Blind Guardian, Rhapsody Of Fire).

Kill The Sphinx announce new band members

Kill The Sphinx, back from their highly acclaimed first Russian tour as the opening act for death metal band Psycroptic, would like to announce the joining of two new members: bass player Andrea Gammeri and drummer Fabio Losano.

Andrea’s style is influenced by great bass players like Steve DiGiorgio, whose technique has redefined the concept of bass playing. Top quality musicianship combined with the powerful drumming of Fabio Losano give Kill The Sphinx sound that extra punch, while still keeping an eye on the songs themselves.

Right now the band is in the studio for the recording sessions of their first full length album, which will be marked by the strongest and grooviest djent metal sound out there, with a particular attention to the melodies, a look to the future without forgetting their influences.Songwriting and rehearsals are proceeding quickly, which means their debut album will be released soon.

Stay tuned for more information, you will not be disappointed!
